ALMA RICHARDSON February 16, 1917 - August 6, 2004 After a tenacious hold on life, Alma Richardson passed away on Friday, August 6, 2004 at the Charleswood Care Centre surrounded by her niece and nephew, Murial Klause and Hugh MacTavish. She was predeceased by her husband Tom in 1992, four sisters and two brothers. Alma is survived by her children, Bruce and Darlene Corbett, Marlene and Gary Dutton; two stepchildren, Lois Jean Williams and Mel Richardson; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister Ada; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends Born in Birch River in 1917, Alma worked for Eatons at the Elizabeth Arden counter. She was a devoted wife and mother. Alma enjoyed having dinner parties, was interested in fashion, loved to travel, and had a special love for her dog Susie. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 14 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charleswood Care Centre, 5501 Roblin Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R3R 0G8.
